Thursday Plans by Josefine and Maria / Los planes de jueves por Josefine y Maria

Thursday 14th March

Today we went to the high school like a normal day. After that, the danish people went to have lunch all together with their teachers Silvia and Julie. Then all catalans and danes met and went to the “La Font del Ros”. There some of us played basketball. After this Glòria, Lea, Johanne, Josefine and Maria went to the gym Berga Resort and we have been working out. Then we went to spa wellness and we have enjoyed it very much. Here you can see a picture of us after the spa.

Hoy hemos ido al instituto como un dia qualquiera. Después, los daneses fueron a comer todos juntos con sus profesoras Silvia y Julie. Luego todos los catalanes y daneses hemos quedado para ir en “La Font del Ros”. Allí algunos han jugado a basquet. Después de todo esto, Glòria, Lea, Johanne, Josefine and Maria hemos ido al gimnasio Berga Resort y hemos estado haciendo ejercicio. Luego fuimos en el wellness y hemos pasado un buen rato todas juntas. Aquí pueden ver una foto de nosotras después de la sesión de spa.

Exchange Summary

We are all having a really good time. Everybody is enjoying the last days of the first part of the exchange.
This week we have done so many different activities. On Monday, after school, we went to "El castell de Sant Ferran" (a war castle where you can see the magnific view).

On Tuesday, the Danish students went to Queralt, a mountain from Berga which is really beautiful, while all the Catalan students were having classes in the high school. At the afternoon we met to have a walk, to have dinner and the watch the Barça-Milan match al together.

On wednesday, we went to Barcelona. It was rainy and cloudy during all the day but anyway we had a nice and funny day. Some of us went shopping and having a good time from shop to shop. 

Today was a sunny but windy day, we all had gone to the high school. All the Danish students had lunch together with their teachers Silvia and Julie and after that we all met and we played basketball. Later we had gone to a bar for have a drink.

It's being a great exchange and a good experience. We have just a few days but we will enjoy it.

Roger and Carla tell us their last days

Hello,

We are Roger and Carla and we are going to tell you about some of the things we have done this weekend.

This Sunday was a very relaxing day. We went to the mountains with Roger’s parents, his sister and his sister’s boyfriend and ate a really nice paella, cerdo and Crema catalana at a place called Campalans. After the lunch, we went to a very small village, the smallest in Calatunya. In this village, we saw a very old, but very beautiful church. 

Later, we went to the spa with Roger´s sister and her boyfriend. This was also very nice and relaxing. It was nice to have a quiet day. The spa had five doors. In one there was a sauna, the other a sauna with vapor, in the third a hot shower and a cold shower, in the fourth there were two pools with ice, in the fifth there was a jacuzzi.

Somos Roger y Carla y vamos a contar algunas de las cosas que hicimos este fin de semana.

Este domingo fue un día muy relajante. Fuimos a las montañas con los padres de Roger, su hermana y el novio de su hermana, y yo comí una paella muy buena, cerdo y crema catalana en un lugar llamado Campalans. Después de la comida, nos fuimos a un pueblo muy pequeño, el más pequeño en Calatunya. En este pueblo, vimos una iglesia muy antigua, pero muy bonita.

Más tarde, fuimos al balneario con la hermana de Roger y su novio. Fue una experiencia muy agradable y relajante. Fue bueno tener un día tranquilo. El spa tenía cinco puertas. En uno había una sauna, y en la otra una sauna de vapor, en la tercera, una ducha caliente y una ducha de agua fría, en el cuarto había dos piscinas con hielo, en la quinta había un jacuzzi.

Let's go to a Calçotada / Vamos de Calçotada

We enjoyed Sunday lunch with Aida’s family. We ate “calçots” a kind of onion which it dips in a kind of sauce. They are bake in a grill. Later we ate some meat with bread; it’s called “pa amb tomàquet” a typical Catalan food. For deserts we ate a cake and strawberries. Then we went to the concert and when the concert had finished we and some other friends went to had dinner to Guita’s bar. We had a great weekend!

Relax in French Baths

Hey! We are Leonora, Glòria, Lea and Berta. We are going to explain our Saturday morning. We had gone to a thermal baths in France with some members of the family of Glòria and Berta, it was a bit long route, but we had spent a great day. It made a very good weather, it was a really nice day.

Hola! Somos Leonora, Glòria, Lea y Berta. Vamos a explicar nuestra mañana del sábado. Con algunos miembros de la familia de Glòria y Berta, fuimos a unos baños termales en Francia, fue una ruta un poco larga pero nos lo pasamos en grande. Hizo muy buen tiempo, fue un día muy bonito.

Oskar and Xavi's Sunday

Last Sunday, Oskar and I went in the calçotada of my oncle. We were 48 people, almost all my family. We had more than 800 calçots. I like calçots and I think that Oskar likes too. We also ate sheep. For dessert we ate a fruit salad, some cakes and a delicious special cake called "Coca". When we finished, We played with my cousins and Oskar talked a lot with my family. It helps that one of my cousins is married with an English man. Then we went for a walk and we went to a river. Oskar explained to me that in Denmark there aren't "gorgs" and the waterfalls aren't so tall.

Carla and Roger's Day / El día de Carla y Roger

Today we rode the bus to school at 7.30 in the morning. When we arrived at the school we saw all the other students of the exchange. Our first subject was english. Then, the class had a Spanish exam. After the exam, we had a short break and then we had a math’s class. After maths, we had an hour of gym and finally we had a class in history.

We took the bus back at 2.35 and ate lunch in home. For two hours or so, we stayed in the house and then we went for a walk around Borredà, the little town where Roger and his family live. We met with Julia, a friend of Roger and his sister, Laia. We went to a very beautiful place with an incredible view of the mountains and the fields. After that, we went to another spot from we were able to see all of Borredà. This was also a very beautiful view. Then we walked Julia to her house and went home to Oscar and Ian, two of Roger’s friends. Here, we played Call of Duty and it was a lot of fun. J

Sunday, we went to Saint Jaume de Frontenyà to see the church and the little village. This village is so small, it´s the smallest village in Catalonia. Only 6 people live there during a normal week, but there are more people in the weekend.

Hoy fuimos con en el autobús a la escuela a las 7.30 de la mañana. Cuando llegamos a la escuela nos encontramos a todos los otros estudiantes de intercambio. Nuestro primera clase fue  Inglés. Entonces,  un examen en castellano. Después del examen, tuvimos un breve descanso y luego tuvimos una clase de matemáticas. Después de matemáticas, tuvimos una hora de gimnasio y finalmente tuvimos una clase de história.

Cogimos el autobús de vuelta a 2:35 y comimos en la casa. Durante dos horas o así, nos quedamos en la casa y luego nos fuimos a dar un paseo alrededor de Borredà, la pequeña ciudad donde Roger y su familia viven. Nos reunimos con Julia, un amigo de Roger y su hermana, Laia. Fuimos a un lugar muy bonito, con una vista increíble de las montañas y los campos. Después de eso, nos fuimos a otro lugar desde el que pudimos ver todo Borredà. Este fue también un punto de vista muy hermoso. Luego fuimos a casa de Julia y luego nos fuimos en casa de Oscar y Ian, dos de los amigos de Roger. Allí jugamos Call of Duty y que era muy divertido.

Domingo, fuimos a San Jaume de Frontenyà a ver la iglesia y el pueblo. Este pueblo es tan pequeño, que es el pueblo más pequeño de Cataluña. Sólo 6 personas viven en el pueblo durante una semana normal, pero hay más gente en el fin de semana.
